About Virginia
Picking up a guitar at 8 years old changed everything, and I have been gigging professionally across the West Coast for 13 years since. Music has been my constant companion during a decade of teaching students of all levels, ranging from total beginners to those stuck in pentatonic jail. My formal training comes from a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music Performance at Berklee College of Music.
Teaching became the highlight of my week after starting as a casual project years ago. I focus on reading sheet music, acoustic technique, and proper maintenance. Sometimes I just play until the house feels right, but that is how it goes.

These sessions start with a 10 minute diagnostic skills check to map out where you currently stand before we build a custom plan. I tie every single concept like modes or barre chords to a recognizable riff you already know instead of dry theory textbooks.
My lessons integrate rhythm guitar, strumming patterns, and lead work alongside chord transitions to build your foundation. Drawing on my Berklee degree, I ensure you understand the mechanics behind the music without the fluff. I love seeing players finally hear the logic behind their favorite songs.
