Keyser and I met in college and have collaborated on many projects over the years. She is an incredibly talented, patient, and energetic tutor who brings in knowledge from different musical areas such as touring, engineering, producing, and songwriting. My son has been taking lessons with Keyser for over a year. He started out wanting voice lessons, and they eventually transitioned into song-writing together and exploring music production. She let him explore various instruments, including drums, until he settled on learning guitar. He’s a really creative kid whose interests can be kind of all-over-the-place. It’s not always easy to draw his focus. Keyser always meets him right where he is in the moment—with encouragement and creative enthusiasm. We trust Keyser implicitly. She manages to bring a playful, nurturing energy while still teaching foundational skillsets to become a successful musician.
