About Ajaypal
My name is Ajaypal, and I am a UC Berkeley student studying Applied Mathematics with a minor in computer science! Math has always been one of my strongest and favorite subjects, and through tutoring, I hope to help students build confidence, improve their problem-solving skills, and succeed in their classes.
I tutor math at a wide range of levels, including high school level math up to calculus and statistics, as well as university-level math up to linear algebra and differential equations. I have earned a 5 on all of my AP exams and maintained a 4.0 college GPA while taking rigorous STEM courses.
As a student who has gone through advanced math classes and AP Exams, I understand how challenging math can feel when concepts are rushed or not explained clearly. My goal is to break topics down in a simple, approachable way and adapt to each student’s learning style. Through my lessons, I hope to help my students learn, grow, and build confidence in math and other STEM subjects. In the first lesson, I focus on understanding where each student is academically while also getting to know them as a learner. I believe this allows me to better identify their needs and explain concepts in a way that helps them truly understand the material. I can help students with math at any level from elementary school through to calculus and linear algebra, as well as the SAT.
