About Ryan

I am currently an EAL teacher in Niigata Prefecture in Japan, working in the public school system. Over the past four years, I've taught in clasrooms to approximately 1000 students across three schools. With my time in Japan coming to an end, I am returning to Australia to undertake a Masters in Teaching, specialising in English and Japanese.

About the lesson

Language acquisition is a series of failures; every time we fail, we work to recognise our mistakes and have a chance to understand where we went wrong. My style of teaching is based around successes and failures, and that every interaction is a new opportunity to improve.
