About Michael
Hi, I’m Michael, an Excel professional with 25 years of hands-on experience using spreadsheets in real business environments, including Wall Street projects supporting banks and insurance institutions. I’ve worked on Excel risk assessment, file change management, and building reliable formulas and models at the highest level. Prior to my career on Wall Street I was a senior Excel instructor at one of New York's largest software institutions, so I know how to explain concepts clearly and adapt to different learning styles. A key part of my own development came through direct tutelage from a member of the Excel Advisory Council—one of about 10 people worldwide who helped shape the Excel software we use—which reinforced the high standards and best practices I bring to every lesson. Above all, I’m professional, patient, and the "formula" for helping you feel confident in Excel.

We’ll start by discussing what you need Excel for (work tasks, school assignments, or personal projects), then I’ll teach the exact skills you need in a simple, repeatable way. A typical lesson includes a quick review, a guided demo, hands-on practice together, and a recap with shortcuts and a practice plan. We can cover basics like cells and data, formatting, creating formulas, and charts. When you’re ready (or if you’re already a pro), we can progress to advanced functions (SUMIF, IF, XLOOKUP), pivot tables, and what-if analysis—plus macros and VBA. What sets me apart is 25 years of real professional Excel experience and a teaching style that makes complex topics feel straightforward.
