About Brent
I have a Master's in political science with Bachelor's in political science and sociology and minors in legal studies and African American studies. I currently teach two Honors College student with courses I built from scratch titled, "Power, Culture, and Consequences" and "To Boldy Go: The Sociology and Philosophy of Star Trek."

I use a lot of analogies to tap into what students already know and understand - even if they don't know that they know it. I also use the Socratic method: I use questions to get students to critically examine why they believe what they believe or "know" what they know.
