About Kimberly
I have been teaching for over ten years in inner city, suburban and rural settings. I have taught classrooms that contain ELL and ESL students and have made lots of progress with them despite their learning levels. Many of my students have went on to achieve their collegiate goals as well as their secular endeavors. I have taken classrooms of students who were failing and brought their grades up so that they not only gain a sense of pride and self-worth, but that they can actually see the "fruits of their labor". Not only do these students realize they can meet high expectations, they realize that they are just as intelligent as many of their other counterparts.

I am a ten year experienced English Language Arts Teacher who specializes in reading, writing, grammar, SAT preparation, and essay composition. I use innovative methods to reach students at all learning levels which were tried and researched in graduate school and with students in my own classrooms over the years. I am engaging, enthusiastic, and use charisma to reach all of my students despite their learning levels. I am experienced working with special education students as well as students who have differentiating needs. I take the time to get to know all of my students personally so that they know that they have a teacher who will advocate for their success as well as give them the encouragement to succeed.
