Hi! I’m Addy, a nearly 18-year-old tutor with a passion for helping others learn and grow. I teach English and chess, and I truly enjoy making both subjects fun, clear, and easy to understand. I’ve spent years developing my own skills in reading, writing, spelling, and grammar—and I love showing others how to get better step by step. I also play chess regularly and enjoy teaching strategy, tactics, and smart thinking to beginners and improving players. What makes me different? I’m patient, friendly, and I explain things in a way that makes sense—even if it’s your first time learning. My chess lessons are designed to help you understand the game deeply, not just memorize moves. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone who wants to improve your tactics and strategy, I’ll guide you step by step in a way that’s easy to follow and fun to learn. Each session is personalized to your level—we can start with the basics like piece movement and opening principles, or dive into advanced tactics, checkmating patterns, and endgame strategies. I’ll teach you how to think ahead, spot threats, and plan winning moves like a real player—not just move pieces around. We’ll also play practice games so you can apply what you learn and receive feedback to improve every time. My goal is to help you become a confident, smart player who enjoys the game—win or lose. Let’s level up your chess skills together!
