Nick has been doing a fantastic job teaching me all about music theory so that I can really create my own music. It is great to find a teacher who specializes in bass (as opposed to a guitar teacher teaching bass) because I get to learn proper bass technique and how to think like a bassist.

I initially started trying to self-teach bass yet although my fingers have become comfortable playing preexisting bass lines, I wouldn't understand how the bass lines are structured and I would struggle coming up with my own bass lines. Having Nick teaching me foundational skills has made it easier to keep a groove interesting on the fly.

I highly recommend giving Nick a try if you have any interest in taking your bass playing to the next level or if you want to develop a better understanding of how music theory can inform your playing.
