About Donal
I’m Dónal, an Irish-born professional musician and singer-songwriter based in Wellington. I’ve been playing guitar and bass for many years, performing live, recording music and touring both in New Zealand and internationally.
I’m passionate about helping people enjoy their instrument and develop their own style. I’ve played across a range of genres, from rock, indie and blues to folk, and I’m happy to tailor lessons around whatever music you’re into.
Whether you’re picking up a guitar or bass for the first time or you’re an intermediate player looking to improve, I’ll keep lessons relaxed, practical and focused on helping you become a more confident musician.

Building confidence and developing your own style
There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to learning an instrument — we’ll focus on what works best for you and the kind of musician you want to become. If you're interested in developing your singing alongside your playing, we can work on that too!
Whether your goal is to play for fun, join a band, write your own music or simply get better at your instrument, get in touch and we can get started!
