About Jean-Philippe
I give private lessons for 20 years, individually and in groups (different instruments). I have trained hundreds of students. My students get results relevant to their needs:
- they start playing instruments and music with the right information
- they work pieces they want or need to play
- they gain autonomy on the instrument
- they develop a sense of rhythm and interval hearing
I am in parallel music animator and sound technician for adult courses and music summer camps (Rock The Casbah). The aim of these is to learn to play together as a group. These activities include the requests that I can have when I help groups as an arranger and/or musical director.

Hello everyone !
I give guitar, bass, writing, arranging and MAO lessons for all levels of Toulouse, in the Saint-Michel district.
My strong point: courses for beginners.
I not only help you learn to play your instrument, but also learn music. The courses are individual and personalized. You work on the songs you want/need to play. I build the learning path based on these songs, your expectations and your level (beginner to professional).
I focus on music, language, expression, interpretation, perception of rhythm and sounds. Music is a living language. You have not learned your native language by reading a dictionary or grammar treaty. You acquired your language practicing, listening, imitating. The theory is the equivalent of writing and will only be used if you really need it or want to. Music theory and theoretical concepts will be introduced gradually as the songs you play request these concepts. So you can better understand their origin and especially the value they may have for you.
I invite you to visit my website for more information, testimonials from students, and free resources in my blog (formationmusicale hosted by wordpress).
Feel free to contact me if you want more information.
