About Kyle
Hi everyone, I am Dr. Kyle. I have over ten years of experience providing 1-on-1 and small group tutoring covering Premedical and Medical information. I have experience not only with teaching, but also working with test anxiety, ADHD, and depression in adult learners. I also focus on teaching and practicing proper test-taking skills.
I am a Medical Doctor and have passed each component of the USMLE Exam including Step 3 and have experience with tutoring all USMLE Step, NBME, NCLEX, and MCAT exams.
Over the past 10 years I have worked in various tutoring and course or program instruction roles. I have four years of experience at the PASS Program for USMLE/COMLEX exam preparation as a tutor, small group instructor, and clinical skills instructor.
I have intermittently worked as an independent tutor through Wyzant with sessions focusing on MCAT and USMLE/COMLEX exam preparation.
I was recently the lead instructor of an MCAT preparation program affiliated with Marshall University. This position required instruction in all of the subjects associated with the MCAT exam.
I also have experience creating educational material for medical students, with complete curriculum development for over ten medical school courses and over thirty short presentations on a variety of medical topics. I know from personal experience that there is no "one size fits all" recipe for success with learning or exam performance.

As an experienced Basic Sciences instructor and tutor, I understand that students not only need help understanding the material, but also dealing with obstacles to learning, and remembering the material in fun and creative ways. I aim to provide sessions that focus on what students need, not just on the curriculum requirements.
My sessions intertwine material review with test-taking and time management skills so my students not only understand the information that is discussed, but have the ability to remember information in high stakes scenarios and plan for further studies on reviewed and related information.
As a tutor, I can evaluate your needs, set up and help you implement an individualized study schedule, provide helpful resources to further your studies, and work through any material or questions you may have.
Sessions usually last for 1 hour with extended sessions available by student request. I also offer small group review for discounted rates/student. I offer a 30-minute introductory consultation meeting free-of -charge to better understand each students situation and desired outcomes from tutoring.
