About Iqura
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Studies from Toronto Metropolitan University and have completed 2 years of Bachelor of Education at Niagara University. My passion for making a difference in children's lives has driven me to gain experience through volunteer placements in various early childhood settings. I am committed to the significance of early childhood in brain development and aspire to become an elementary teacher.
I am qualified to teach from Full-Day Kindergarten to grade 6, holding good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Staying updated with the curriculum is essential in our profession, and I view the Ontario curriculum as a valuable tool that requires creative and engaging delivery to accommodate diverse learning styles.
I advocate for teachers to pursue Additional Qualification courses for subject expertise and emphasize the importance of special education training and professional development to address the needs of diverse student populations.

- During the beginning of Covid-19, learning was taught remotely so I took the virtual approach and made sure all students could access interactive Google slides.
- I will clearly explain the Learning Goals and Success Criteria prior to starting my lessons. (will clearly give instructions and listen to your needs)
-My goal for each lesson plan will be to make sure it is clear, detailed, and written in student-friendly language. This way students can clearly understand the written expectations and be able to successfully follow through.
-Also while creating my lesson plans I will make sure that apart from being still I want all students to gain knowledge through actively participating in hands-on learning, having online educational videos accessible, and engaging in open discussions as they are getting tutored by me. Each time students feel stuck, they can always ask me and we can use everyday examples and personal experiences to reach to a resolution.
- My lessons will be targeting younger students as young as kindergarten till all the way to primary and junior students.
-I will be more than happy to help students who are finding it challenging to learn English, I will certainly help with English Skills including reading, writing sentences, and speaking with good pronunciation.
