About Jasmine

Hi, I'm Jasmine, a current undergraduate student studying Forensic Science. Throughout high school, I developed a strong passion for mathematics, achieving a Band 6 in HSC Advanced Mathematics. I enjoy helping others build their understanding and confidence in challenging subjects, and I have experience supporting classmates with coursework and exam preparation.

My interest in tutoring began in Year 10 when I spent several months helping a friend improve their understanding of class content. Since then, I have continued to assist peers with their studies and have found great satisfaction in seeing others achieve their academic goals.

As a tutor, I aim to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through problems at their own pace. I understand that every student learns differently and strive to adapt my teaching style to suit each individual's needs. My goal is not only to improve academic results but also to help students develop confidence and independent learning skills.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is flexible, supportive, and tailored to each student's individual learning style. I understand that every student processes information differently, so if one explanation or method isn't working, I will adapt my approach and present the concept in a different way until it makes sense. My goal is not only to help students find the correct answers but also to build their confidence and understanding of the underlying concepts.

Lessons can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the student's age, goals, and learning needs. Sessions can focus on homework support, exam preparation, strengthening foundational skills, or tackling specific areas of difficulty.

While I do not have formal tutoring qualifications, I have extensive experience helping others learn. Throughout high school, I regularly assisted classmates with their studies, and I also provided one-on-one tutoring to a fellow student. In my current role as a Training Manager, I am responsible for teaching, coaching, and supporting staff members, which has strengthened my communication skills and ability to explain concepts clearly to learners with different levels of experience.

My lessons are designed for students from Kindergarten to Year 10 and are aligned with the NSW syllabus. I work closely with students to identify areas where they need additional support and create lessons that target those specific challenges, helping them improve both their academic performance and confidence in the classroom.
