About Madison
I am a professional guitar tutor with over 4 years of experience teaching students worldwide. I earned a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance (Contemporary Styles), and I bring that academic background into every lesson. My teaching philosophy is rooted in creativity and individuality. I focus on compositional techniques, arranging for guitar, and creating original music. Students learn harmonic concepts, melodic development, counterpoint, and how to capture their ideas in basic recordings. I tailor each lesson to match student goals, whether that means learning a first chord progression or refining a complex arrangement. My students range from complete beginners to advanced musicians and aspiring composers. I believe every guitarist has a unique voice worth developing. Lessons are both structured and open, designed to inspire confidence and curiosity. Music is not just about repetition—it is about exploration. I aim to guide students in finding their own path. If you’re ready to create and express through guitar, I warmly invite you to join me.

My method of teaching guitar is rooted in showing the real-life value of theory. Scales, modes, and chords can feel confusing, but I break them down in simple steps. Each concept is applied directly to the fretboard so you hear and feel how it works. Harmonic analysis helps us see patterns inside songs and styles. Students then use these insights to play more fluently and creatively. I adapt my lessons to different goals, ensuring everyone makes steady progress. For some, the focus is bold and expressive playing, while for others it is control and clarity. Both paths are supported with equal care. Improvisation is introduced early, so confidence grows quickly. Writing original music is also encouraged as a way to practice theory in action. I use songs, exercises, and recordings to keep lessons engaging. Students are guided to discover their own strengths and style. By the end, you’ll not only understand guitar theory but also enjoy using it.
