About Cassandra
In addition to my prior tutoring experience I also took 5 semesters of social work classes that were specifically geared towards increasing my ability to communicate one on one or in small groups. My grandmother is a teacher and my mother is a professor and I fully intend to follow in her footsteps. I have quite literally dedicated most of my life to learning how to teach and I’ve been using those skills for years now to help hundreds of students

I’ve been tutoring for 5 years. Before I was a writing tutor I tutored statistics, chemistry, and computer science. When I work with a student my very first goal is to learn how your brain works so that I can tailor my explanations to your thought processes. I am excellent at explaining why things are the way they are rather than just what and it is my belief that tutoring is more about teaching someone the steps by which you come to an answer then it is about teaching you the answer
