About Anouk
My name is Anouk and I am undertaking a Master's Degree in secondary teaching. I have worked in tourism as a marine biologist since graduating from university and more recently have been working on the Great Barrier Reef as a marine biologist, studying the health and managing the crown of Thorns starfish outbreaks. I am passionate about biology and want to inspire and help people understand the subject, especially in high school, because that's where I first fell in love with it.

I believe that each individual learns differently and being able to acknowledge that and adapt the learning style to suit the individual is incredibly important. When I was in high school, I absolutely adored biology and it was mostly because of the passion and love for the subject that my teacher had. She inspired me and helped me to see the beauty in learning and understanding the environment, and I hope to be able to encourage that same style of learning. We absorb more information if we enjoy what we are learning :)
