About Maxwell

I hold a bachelor’s degree in music with a specialization in piano performance and have 7 years of experience as a piano tutor. My journey with the piano began at an early age, and over the years, I have developed a deep passion for teaching and helping others discover the joy of playing. My teaching approach is student-centered and tailored to individual needs and goals. I believe that every student learns differently, so I design lessons that are engaging, encouraging, and suited to each person’s pace and style. Whether you want to learn sight-reading, improve technique, or understand music theory, I create a supportive environment to help you succeed. Throughout my tutoring career, I’ve worked with students of all ages and skill levels, guiding them to build strong fundamentals and confidence. I emphasize proper technique and musical expression to ensure students not only play well but also enjoy the music they create. I am committed to continuous learning and regularly update my teaching methods to provide the best possible experience. My goal is to inspire a lifelong love of piano and music, helping students reach their full potential while fostering creativity and enjoyment.

About the lesson

Piano lessons are carefully crafted to meet the needs of students at all skill levels, from beginners just starting to seasoned players looking to refine their abilities. Each lesson is tailored to your personal goals, whether that means learning to read music, mastering technique, or exploring musical expression. The lessons are designed to be engaging and supportive, encouraging steady progress.

Sight-reading is a foundational part of the learning process. Students practice reading and interpreting sheet music, developing the ability to play new pieces with confidence and accuracy. This skill is built gradually through exercises and repertoire that challenge and motivate without overwhelming.

Technique development is another essential focus. Lessons include exercises to improve finger strength, agility, and hand coordination. Proper hand positioning and movement are emphasized to promote healthy playing habits and prevent injury, allowing students to play with precision and ease.

Music theory is integrated throughout lessons to deepen understanding of the language behind the music. Students explore scales, chords, rhythm, and dynamics, which enhances both playing ability and overall musicianship. Whether preparing for performances, exams, or personal enjoyment, lessons provide a comprehensive and rewarding learning experience.
