About Brandon

What Sets This Tutoring Apart?

Text + Material Analysis:
Combining textual history with archaeology teaches students to evaluate primary sources alongside real physical evidence

Mastery of Critical Thinking & Writing:
Classics and history demand clear, structured argument building. I help students craft compelling essays, master thesis statements, and construct airtight arguments.

Tailored, Interdisciplinary Approach:
Whether mastering Latin and Greek contexts, tackling AP/IB European and World History, or writing complex research papers, every lesson is adapted to your student’s learning style and academic goals.

Proven Academic Rigor: Having navigated both an undergraduate double major and graduate-level major research paper, the goal is to equip students with study habits, research methodologies, and test-taking strategies used at top universities.

As a former student-athlete and recognized Academic All-Star, I understand firsthand the delicate balance between athletic dedication and academic excellence—a balance I now maintain as a father to a young daughter and have coached student-athletes from age seven up to the university level. Having walked this exact path, I don't just teach course material; I mentor students on the vital time-management strategies, mental discipline, and study habits required to excel in the classroom without sacrificing their athletic performance. Whether your child is just starting out or preparing for collegiate-level competition, my coaching experience allows me to connect with them at their level, build their confidence, and empower them to succeed as well-rounded student-athletes.

About the lesson

Most history and classics tutoring focuses on memorizing dates and regurgitating facts. But real academic success in the humanities requires something deeper: critical analysis, source evaluation, and persuasive analytical writing.

With a dual Bachelor’s degree in Classics and History, alongside a Master’s degree in Archaeology, I offer a unique multi-dimensional approach to learning. I don't just teach students what happened—I show them how to analyze why it happened using text, culture, and physical material evidence!
