About Amina
Hello!
My name is Amina Boucenna, a Bachelor of Science Honors Psychology Student at York University, an absolute bookworm, a coffee lover, and your new tutor!
I have been tutoring for 4 years now, I first started out as a virtual English/Reading tutor, then an in-person Math and Science tutor, and right now I am both an online and in-person tutor for middle and high school students in any subject they are struggling with!
I have a passion for teaching and speaking the French language, so if you need help with a French course, I would be the perfect match for you!
I believe that building up a student's confidence in their abilities is equally as important as improving their academic performance, as these aspects influence each other heavily, and I try to include this in my teaching style by providing consistent encouragement and weekly feedback summaries!

-Explain to me what you understand in your own words and I can interject to correct or complete your understanding when you reach a point of confusion, if you are completely lost and can't begin to explain what you don't understand, no worries, we start from there!
-Typical lesson starts with addressing the content to be covered, assessing particular points of struggle, completing practice questions together, assigning practice questions to be completed independently, and finally tying any loose ends in understanding
-I have the experience and capacity to not only aid in academic content but also academic skills such as organization, time-management, and building confidence in one's ability
-I have extensive experience working with elementary, middle school, and high school students, with any subject they are struggling with!
