About Mercy
Completing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Duke University provided the rigorous foundation I use to support AP and IB Biology students today. Truthfully, the transition from undergraduate studies to private coaching helped me realize how much high school curricula rely on specific conceptual connections. My 13 years of experience allow me to break down complex ideas regarding the circulatory system, the nervous system, genetics, and inheritance. Students often find that my perspective as a near-peer coach bridges the gap between textbook theory and actual understanding.
I focus heavily on molecular biology, protein synthesis, and cellular mechanisms to keep concepts grounded. Biological drawing and food webs require precise attention to detail which I emphasize during our regular meetings. Plant biology and human anatomy remain core pillars of the curriculum I navigate with my clients.
