About Isha
Hi, I am Isha! I graduated with a bachelor's degree in biotechnology research, which was equal parts exciting and challenging. In a class of 30+ hardworking and passionate students, despite my dedication and appreciation towards my subjects, sometimes it would get hard to keep up with the pace. That's when I wished someone would be there to guide me through the way.
And that's exactly what I am here for. When life gives you lemons, I'll make sure you squeeze out the best of the lemonades!
During my undergrad years, I volunteered at various NGOs to teach women coming from underprivileged backgrounds in basic reading and writing skills. Apart from that I used to undertake private tutoring for middle school and high school students, with a special focus on biology subjects. Along with the improvement in grades, the best thing about teaching was to see them getting more confident by the day! I hope I can truly provide the same for you too.

I understand that the conventional way of teaching may not suit everyone, so I actively try to engage my students by condensing complex concepts through real-life examples they can relate to. I encourage my students to actively learn by "visualization", rather than rote learning. I aim that my students put in their best efforts and score well, but my lessons are not strictly restricted to the textbook and allow them to think outside of the box (yes mitochondria are the powerhouse of the cell, but *why* is it so?)
The human brain is prone to distractions after 30 minutes, so I teach for 1.30-2 hours with ample breaks. Chronotypes come into play too, so I am more than willing to schedule sessions based upon whatever time of the day you feel the most productive at. I have experience in tutoring middle school and high school students in physics, chemistry, and biology, and I can teach Hindi and English language as well.
Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in biomedical and health sciences from Monash University, while also making science accessible and fun for people through teaching!
