About Gina
"I have 10 years of experience teaching piano, composing music, and performing as a musician. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition with a Piano Emphasis, which has shaped my understanding of harmony, structure, and creative expression. I believe music is a lifelong journey where every musician continues to discover new ideas.
My teaching focuses on helping students create unique improvisational pieces and develop spontaneous composition skills. I enjoy showing students how to transform simple musical thoughts into expressive performances. My lessons combine technical knowledge with creativity so students can develop confidence at the piano.
I work with both beginners who are discovering music for the first time and advanced musicians who want to expand their creative abilities. I remember helping a student create their first original piano piece by building on a simple chord pattern, and seeing their excitement was inspiring. Moments like this remind me why I love teaching.
Every musician has a personal story to share through sound, and I believe the piano is a powerful way to express it. My goal is to guide students through their own creative journey while helping them grow as performers and composers. "My teaching approach focuses on helping students use the piano as a tool for creativity, expression, and original music making. Lessons include songwriting for piano, composing melodies and harmonies, creating intros and outros, and developing strong musical themes. I help students understand how simple ideas can grow into complete and meaningful compositions.
I combine creativity with clear structure so students can create music with confidence and purpose. For example, we may begin with a short melody and explore different chords, rhythms, and arrangements until it becomes a full piece. This process helps students develop their own musical voice while learning important composition skills.
I also teach improvisation, chord progressions, arrangement techniques, and ways to organize musical ideas effectively. Students learn how to balance emotion and technique while creating original work that reflects their personal style. Each lesson is adjusted to support different goals, from personal songwriting to advanced creative projects.
I support musicians who want to explore their creativity and build confidence in composing their own piano pieces. My goal is to help you turn your ideas into finished music through practical guidance and consistent practice. Together, we can develop your skills, strengthen your imagination, and help you compose a musical legacy."
