"Sitting at the keys during my initial formal studies defined my approach to the instrument. My training at the Queensland Conservatorium grounded me in classical repertoire and essential accompaniment skills. I have spent 13 years refining how I explain chord voicing and precise hand position to students.
Teaching students from nervous beginners to those preparing for grade exams is my daily reality. Watching a student master rhythm and timing or improve their dynamics and expression remains the most enjoyable part of my career."
