Before beginning any tutoring sessions, I assess the student's current knowledge and understanding of mathematics. This includes reviewing previous coursework, and homework, and conducting initial diagnostic tests to identify strengths and areas that need improvement. Additionally, I encourage active participation from the students by asking questions, involving them in problem-solving and promoting critical thinking. Math is not just about memorizing formulas but understanding the underlying principles.
