About Jacquie
I have a degree in Community Welfare, and am able to teach one on one or in a group, I have used some of my skills to support in High School Setting and Primary School Setting as a Chaplain. My background has mainly been with Youth and children both in care support and disabilities and in Youth Development roles.

*My background has been diverse so the students my lessons would be geared toward are those who are struggling with reading and literacy skills.
*Using reading material poetry and one literacy, choice of the student or as a group of students
* Each student would have a Journal book or Exercise Book
* Simply to write down what they do not understand or struggle with in reading skills
* Tasks to help them eg; Write a Rap Song or poem expressing their dilemmas (Poetry in motion)
* Teach them the rhythm of poetry picking a subject eg; Ocean, Solar System,
* Design a book cover and write a story about themselves or write a funny quirky Comic strip.
* Talk about what they read or understand as a group or individual
* Work on expression eg; Why punctuation and how it is relevant to expression
