About Heather
My name is Heather and I am from Burlington, Ontario. I am currently a Bachelor of Education Professional Student at Lakehead University Orillia Campus (graduating in April 2022). I graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. I then went on to do a one year postgrad certificate in Sport and Event Marketing at George Brown College.
The tutoring environment is a place where students should feel respected, engaged and safe. A session with me will be a place where students feel like they are part of a community and their voice is welcomed. I will set high expectations for my students that inspire them to learn and continue to be challenged.
My hobbies and interests include: nature, hiking, golf, volleyball, dogs, travelling, country music and good coffee.

- I will provide guided instruction to help scaffold the student's learning. The student will have opportunity to ask clarification questions. The student and I will practice applying new skills together to then be comfortable applying them independently.
