About Larry
"My teaching approach helps students build strong listening skills alongside confident piano playing. I welcome beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced musicians. Every lesson is planned to match each student's pace and musical goals.
We work on ear training for pianists, identifying chords, melodies, rhythms by ear, music theory, improvisation, sight reading, rhythm exercises, and developing perfect pitch. I also include activities that improve chord recognition, interval training, and musical memory. These skills help students play with greater confidence without relying only on sheet music.
For example, I often play a short chord progression and ask students to identify it before finding it on the keyboard. This simple exercise strengthens listening skills and builds confidence over time. I provide regular feedback so students understand their progress and know what to improve next.
I enjoy helping students who write original music and those who produce music using digital tools. My lessons help learners recognize musical patterns naturally and apply them in composing, arranging, and performing. Over time, you will become a more intuitive musician who trusts your ears as much as your hands."

"I have over 6 years of experience teaching piano, and I enjoy helping students discover the freedom of creative playing through jazz. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Musicology with a specialization in Piano History. My lessons combine strong musical knowledge with practical techniques that students can use right away.
I focus on jazz piano improvisation, comping techniques, and building a rich harmonic vocabulary through clear and structured lessons. I believe great musicians grow by combining jazz theory, ear training for complex chords, transcription, and rhythmic precision. One student began by copying simple jazz melodies and later created confident improvisations during live performances.
I have worked with Early Intermediate and Advanced Intermediate learners, as well as Professional and Expert jazz musicians who wanted to refine their musical ideas. Every lesson is adjusted to match the student's experience, goals, and learning style. I encourage curiosity, regular practice, and creative thinking in every session.
My goal is to help students feel comfortable expressing themselves through music instead of simply repeating written notes. I look forward to helping you begin your journey into confident and spontaneous musical expression."
