About Em
I'm a 38-year-old he/him with a PhD in creative writing (poetry) and many publications under my belt, including 2 books.
I left academia for 5 years to start a gardening business, but I'm ready to get my brain to work again.
I used to make music/sound art/DJ and tour around a bit, and had a short-lived 'career' as a terrible drag queen.
I live in the Northern Suburbs with my partner, my poodle, and 20 chickens.

As an artist, I have learned to approach any kind of work in quite an ad hoc way. What the student needs will change depending on a variety of factors, so it is important for me to be flexible and be able to focus on whatever the priority happens to be on the day. Whether that be building on the developments of previous sessions or changing directions entirely based on new data.
