About Lynn
I am a committed and professional piano tutor with 14 years of experience and a successful record of training around 300 students. My students include high school learners, college musicians, and adults who want to develop strong and confident piano skills.
My teaching philosophy balances structured learning with positive encouragement. I focus on building a solid technical foundation through scales, chord exercises, rhythm practice, and sight-reading. I also emphasise musical expression, helping students understand phrasing, tone, and dynamics.
Each lesson includes clear objectives, skill development, and performance preparation. I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs, whether students are preparing for graded exams or learning for personal enjoyment. Many of my students have achieved high distinctions and demonstrated impressive stage confidence.
My goal is to provide supportive guidance and professional mentorship so that every student can unlock their full potential and enjoy a lifelong journey in music.

My teaching methodology for piano focuses on communication, creativity, flexibility, and balanced development. I believe students should understand both the technical and emotional aspects of music. I clearly explain technique, rhythm control, and coordination using simple examples.
Communication builds strong teacher-student relationships and supports steady progress. Creativity allows students to explore musical storytelling and develop their own artistic voice.
Flexibility ensures lessons are customised for beginners, intermediate, or advanced learners. I also teach theory basics, harmony, performance skills, and ear training to create well-rounded musicians. My goal is to inspire dedication and passion for piano learning.
