About Olivia
I am a classical pianist and educator with extensive experience in both performance and piano pedagogy. I graduated from the Manhattan School of Music, where I received conservatory training in piano performance (both undergraduate and master’s degree), and I have performed internationally, including appearances at venues such as Carnegie Hall. Throughout my career, I have received recognition through international competitions, festivals, and artistic honors that have shaped my musical development and performance career.
Alongside performing, I have worked extensively with students of all ages and levels, from young beginners to advanced pianists preparing for auditions, competitions, and examinations (ex. NYSSMA, ABRSM). Many of my students have received awards and distinctions in local and regional competitions and have been recognized for their musical growth, technical development, and artistic achievement.
My teaching approach is highly individualized and combines strong technical foundation with deep musical interpretation and artistry. I believe piano study should develop not only technical skill, but also imagination, confidence, discipline, and personal expression. My work as an educator has also been recognized through Teacher Recognition Awards from various international competitions.

DISCOVER A DEEPER APPROACH TO PIANO STUDY — FROM FOUNDATIONAL TRAINING TO ADVANCED ARTISTRY
Whether you are beginning piano for the first time, returning to music after years away, or pursuing advanced artistic goals, the right teacher can completely shape the way you experience music.
Finding a piano teacher can feel overwhelming. Many instructors list degrees, performances, or teaching experience, yet students are often left wondering what actually makes a meaningful difference in lessons over time. Technique alone is not enough. True musical growth comes from working with someone who understands not only how to teach piano, but how to develop artistry, musical intelligence, discipline, confidence, and personal expression.
As both a performer and educator, my goal is not simply to help students “play the notes,” but to help them build a refined and lasting relationship with music. I believe students progress most when they feel challenged, inspired, and genuinely understood as individuals.
My background combines rigorous conservatory training, extensive teaching experience, and active performance work. I graduated from the Manhattan School of Music and have performed internationally, including appearances at Carnegie Hall. In addition to private instruction, I have directed music programs and taught students ranging from young beginners to serious pre-professional pianists.
Here is what shapes my teaching approach:
• A highly individualized method
Every student learns differently. Some students respond to technical structure, others through listening, imagery, movement, or musical storytelling. I adapt lessons carefully to each student’s personality, goals, and learning style rather than forcing everyone into a single method.
• Strong technical foundation combined with musical depth
Technique and artistry should develop together. Even at the beginner level, students can learn how to produce sound beautifully, phrase naturally, and understand the emotional structure of music — not simply play mechanically.
• Conservatory-level insight made accessible
My training allows me to teach both foundational repertoire and advanced works with depth and precision, while still making complex concepts approachable and enjoyable for students at every level.
• Emphasis on long-term artistic growth
I care deeply about helping students develop confidence, independence, and musical maturity over time. Whether a student plays for personal fulfillment or pursues auditions, competitions, or professional goals, lessons are designed to create meaningful and measurable progress.
• A balance of discipline and inspiration
Serious musical development requires consistency, but lessons should never feel emotionally dry or purely technical. Music is ultimately a living art form, and I aim to cultivate curiosity, imagination, and personal connection alongside discipline.
I welcome dedicated students of all ages who are looking for thoughtful, high-quality instruction and a deeper musical experience.
