About Zuzanna
Before studying architecture, I trained in Art and Design as well as Architectural Technology at Edinburgh College. This gave me both a creative, out-of-the-box mindset and a strong technical approach to architectural design. My portfolio was strong enough to earn me an offer from Central Saint Martins, though I decided to continue my studies in Scotland. I went on to complete both my undergraduate and master’s degrees with distinction at the University of Strathclyde and IUAV in Venice. While in Venice, I also worked on organising art and architecture exhibitions, which gave me a broad perspective on design education and its cultural context. I am proud to be a Royal Scottish Academy John Kinross Scholar and an award-winning student. Alongside my studies, I have led art workshops and organised creative events, which helped me build strong mentoring skills and a supportive teaching style. My specialities are collage, model making and graphical representation of architecture. I believe the best projects go beyond being just buildings as they tell a story.

I help students prepare for university applications, build strong portfolios, and explore architectural representation as a form of visual storytelling. I provide guidance in idea development, composition, and material experimentation, with a focus on narrative, context, and atmosphere. I also support students with dissertation and thesis writing. My mentoring is tailored to each student’s goals, with a methodology rooted in research and references, encouraging curiosity to drive meaningful results. These lessons are ideal for secondary school students, university applicants, and early-stage architecture students who want to strengthen their illustration and visual communication skills. I also teach software such as Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Autocad and V-Ray.

I met Zuzanna during her Erasmus at IUAV in Venice, and I had several opportunities to ask her for help with university projects and in preparing for theoretical exams. On these occasions, I learned a great deal from her, both in terms of design and study methods. She is a cheerful, patient, and very knowledgeable person. Her passion for graphic design and photography has a strong impact on her work, making it captivating and rich in meaning.
To conclude, I can say that the experience I had with Zuzanna greatly enriched both my technical knowledge and my architectural thinking.I know Zuzanna from our architectural studies, where we often discussed and shared ideas about our design projects. She’s a creative, dynamic, and joyful designer who always thinks outside the box. Zuzanna’s strong interest in art, skill in graphic design, and impressive portfolio of architectural work make her a great tutor. She brings a lot of enthusiasm and fresh ideas to everything she does, making learning with her both inspiring and enjoyable.
Zuzanna is an exemplary student across her five years in academia. Having been her peer I can attest that she has great knowledge of architectural history and culture as well as having an amazing eye for graphics and exhibition design.
She is a generous colleague and is always willing to offer her help and expertise to anyone who needs it. Her multi-cultural experience (in Scotland and Italy) means she has broad insight into global arts and architecture.
Alongside her studies, she has balanced work in various international exhibitions which gives her a unique edge which most architecture students/graduates or even architects do not have.View more recommendations
