I've been doing this for a longtime, experimented with numerous teaching techniques, and none have come close to Pomodoro.
20 minutes of active engagementwith the student, letting them spear-head the conversation, satiate their curiosities, and pursue their interests.
Then a 5 minute break. We repeat this 4 times then take a 25 minute break. This guarantees the students and teachers minds stay fresh throughout the entire session.
I believe in letting creative minds express themselves, and Pomodoro gives these creative minds the room to expand and not feel suffocated.
An hour to an hour and a half of teaching is my sweet spot.
