I believe in what Ralph Waldo Emerson said: "The secret of education is respect for the pupil." Anyone who is growing is a beginner and merits attention and care. In writing, after being introduced to principles, students grow best by working with their own ideas and prose. Only then do they benefit from a teacher’s analysis, coaching, and perspective.
