About Xueyang
Hi, I'm Bobby, and I graduated from Auckland Grammar School in 2021. I am a recipient of the Top Achiever's Scholarship at University of Auckland and will be studying Bachelor of Biomedical Science(Medicine 2nd year) at UoA. As someone who has transferred schools often, I am uniquely experienced in both NCEA and CIE curriculums and have performed at a high standard in both, this allowed me to gain insights into the main secrets of high achievement both regardless of curriculum, and specific to each curriculum. I excel at Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, with all 3 subjects at A* level in CIE, and Endorsed with Excellence, in NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3. I believe that tutoring doesn't always have to be single subject based, but is also an opportunity for me to pass on some tips and tricks that helped me make life easier.

I believe that teaching is best approached in a concise, organised manner while accounting for the abilities of each student individually.
My lessons are mainly targeted towards Year 11-13 students, however I can and have taught younger students (I'm tutoring my younger sibling(Yr 10) for the New Zealand Chemistry Olympiad.) Typically, my lessons are around half an hour-1 hour long, I believe that if lessons are too long they will impact retention rates of information for students, generally I prefer to oragnise a break every half-an hour or so to freshen up the mind.
I have often been selected during my time as a student not just a tutor, but a guide and a mentor for junior students due to my patience, friendliness and conduct. I excel at Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, with all 3 subjects at A* level in CIE, and Endorsed with Excellence, in NCEA Level 1, 2 and 3.
I believe that tutoring doesn't always have to be single subject based, but is also an opportunity for me to pass on some tips and tricks that helped me make life easier.
