About Cass

High school: I completed VCE in 2019 and graduated from Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) with an ATAR of 99.15. I achieved raw study scores of 48 in Mathematical Methods and 43 in Chemistry. I have 7 years of tutoring experience with most of my students achieving study scores above what they wanted to achieve.

Undergrad: I completed the first year and a half of Pharmacy (scholar’s program) at Monash University and achieved a GPA of 4.0 (maximum score) in 2020-2021. To pursue a career in teaching, I then transferred to the University of Melbourne to complete a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Mathematics and Statistics, graduating in 2024 with a H1 high distinction (highest level).

Postgrad: I am now a Master’s of Teaching (Secondary) student at the University of Melbourne, studying to become a maths and chemistry teacher!

About the lesson

MATHEMATICAL METHODS | raw 48
Mathematics is my forte and is also the area in which I am most passionate. I am currently also minoring in Mathematics at Melbourne University and have achieved near top scores. For Methods, my tutoring will consist of many exam-style questions in preparation for the Year 12 VCE exam. Due to recent additions of more abstract and convoluted questions in these exams, students will require more than just the understanding of basic concepts and routine textbook questions in order to achieve high results.

My tutoring includes:
• Quality notes (with step-by-step explanations, a variety of methods, techniques, examples, and key formulas)
• Routine textbook/checkpoints questions (to form a solid mathematical foundation) • Problem-solving questions
• Application + challenge questions
• Practice SACs (+ solutions)
