About Viona

Hi, I’m Viona. In 2025, I graduated from Kardinia International College, achieving a 99.1 ATAR and placing second in my VCE cohort. I am now studying a Bachelor of Biomedicine at the University of Melbourne.

Having recently completed VCE, I have a thorough understanding of both the academic demands and the pressures of Years 11 and 12. Beyond strong subject knowledge, I offer proven strategies, efficient study techniques, and exam approaches that are essential for maximizing performance and achieving top results.

I am committed to helping students reach their full potential, whether that involves striving for a high ATAR or building confidence in foundational subjects. I strongly believe that academic success is built on a solid foundation, and I work to instill these core skills, discipline, and mindset in my primary and high school students to support long-term achievement.

About the lesson

Subjects I tutor :
-VCE Chemistry, Biology, Methods and EAL English.
-Year 1-10 Maths and Sciences at all levels.

Lesson length:
60 minutes ( can be adjusted to your needs)

-For VCE students, as a recent graduate, I aim to be more of a mentor or “go-to” person rather than just a tutor (the friend who explains weeks of content to you 5 minutes before the test). I want to be someone you feel comfortable asking questions from, whether it’s weeks in advance or five minutes before a test. I know how stressful Years 11 and 12 can be, but I truly believe a high ATAR is much more achievable than it seems with the right support. I’ll guide you through content, practice questions, exam techniques, and effective study habits so you feel confident and prepared.
-For Years 7–10 students, my focus is on building a strong academic foundation, as this is key to long-term success. If a student is struggling with Maths or Science, I work to develop a deeper and more holistic understanding of the subject so that knowledge is retained, not just memorised. Alongside teaching content, I provide consistent practice through worksheets and questions, while also helping students develop a focused and positive academic mindset.

-For Years 1–6 students, I aim to create a fun, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated. I focus on preparing them for success in high school by ensuring they develop strong core skills in Maths and Science. I strive to make learning enjoyable while also equipping each student with the confidence and foundational skills they need to excel.
