About Meg

Hi there. My name's Meg and I have been tutoring for 7+ years. I am currently studying Medicine at the University of Newcastle.

My main aim as a tutor is to make sure my students 𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗗 the concepts and 𝗙𝗘𝗘𝗟 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗘 with the content rather than rote learning or memorising the answers. I encourage my students to 𝗔𝗦𝗞 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 and ensure they thoroughly understand one concept before moving onto the next.

I am very 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 and am also 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝘆. I understand that every student is different and hence I try my best to 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀.

About the lesson

I am currently offering small GROUP math lessons either face-to-face or online. These lessons run for one hour. Learning is more fun with friends!

I also offer UCAT and medical interview preparation! ($60 for UCAT and $75 for interview prep)

Groups for:
- Year 9/10 Maths (Newcastle Grammar, Merewether)
- Year 11/12 Ext 1 (Newcastle Grammar, Merewether)
- Year 11/12 Methods (Newcastle Grammar, Merewether)
- Message for other all other school years

For the subjects I’m offering, I will provide
• a lesson plan based on the what the student has requested we cover
• practice questions, exams, scaffolds and sample answers
• Past papers from a range of reliable sources
• evidence-based study techniques that help memory recall
• phone and email support
• a comfortable learning environment but most importantly,
• an enjoyable lesson catered to the student’s individual learning needs
