About Omar
I am a university professor and writing specialist with over seven years of experience working in writing centers and teaching college-level courses. I specialize in helping students develop strong writing, communication, and critical thinking skills across disciplines, including technical, academic, and professional contexts.
I have taught a diverse range of students, from high school learners to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as multilingual writers. I have supported them at all stages of the language-learning and writing process. My approach to tutoring is student-centered, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I view tutoring as a space where students actively develop their own understanding rather than passively receive information. I focus on helping students practice the language by designing sessions around interactive activities in which they speak, write, read, and engage with content. My goal is to ensure that students are consistently participating so they can build confidence, strengthen their skills, and demonstrate noticeable progress in every session.
