About Violet
I have 9 years of experience teaching piano and hold a Bachelor’s in Piano Performance and a Master’s in Music Education. My academic training included solo repertoire development, ensemble collaboration, performance psychology, and structured teaching methodology. Over the years, I have helped students grow from basic skill development to confident public performance.
I believe effective piano instruction requires patience, detailed observation, and consistent encouragement. I carefully assess each student’s strengths and technical challenges before designing a personalised lesson structure. Clear demonstrations and steady feedback allow learners to improve without feeling overwhelmed. I focus on building long-term musical understanding rather than short-term results.
Outside teaching, I continue practising advanced repertoire and studying modern instructional techniques to refine my approach. Staying active as a musician helps me bring practical insight and artistic inspiration into every lesson. I am committed to helping students achieve technical excellence, expressive performance skills, and lasting confidence at the piano.

My piano lessons are structured to create a strong technical foundation while helping students develop expressive and confident performance skills. I begin by correcting posture, hand shape, finger curvature, and wrist flexibility to ensure relaxed and efficient movement. These physical details are very important because they influence tone clarity, speed control, and long-term comfort while playing. Students practise structured scales, arpeggios, and rhythm coordination exercises to improve finger independence and timing accuracy. I explain each concept in simple English and demonstrate slowly so learners clearly understand how proper technique improves sound quality and balance between both hands.
As students progress, we work on dynamic control, phrasing, articulation, and pedal technique to add musical depth. Music theory concepts such as chord structure and harmonic progressions are introduced to strengthen understanding of the pieces being studied. Students learn complete compositions that challenge both technical ability and emotional interpretation.
Weekly practice plans are created to help organise home study and track improvement consistently. Performance preparation is integrated into lessons through rehearsal planning and mock performance sessions. My goal is to help pianists perform with technical accuracy, expressive maturity, and strong self-confidence in any setting.
