About Brennan
With 7 years of flute teaching experience and over 150 students guided, I am dedicated to helping learners of all levels achieve their musical goals. I focus on technical proficiency—breath control, tone, finger agility, and rhythm—while fostering creativity, improvisation, and expressive playing. I customise lessons for each student’s learning style and objectives, ensuring consistent growth and enjoyment.
I also teach sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble skills to provide a complete musical foundation. My mission is to inspire students to become confident, skilled, and passionate flautists who truly love music.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on creating a flexible, student-centred, and collaborative learning environment. I begin by assessing each student’s learning style and designing lessons that make concepts clear, exercises meaningful, and practice engaging. This ensures steady progress while fostering a love for music.
Flexibility allows me to adapt lesson plans, exercises, and repertoire based on the student’s progress, goals, and musical tastes. Collaboration is emphasised through duets, group exercises, and performance simulations, helping students develop confidence, musical communication, and ensemble skills. Positivity underpins every lesson, creating a motivating environment where students feel safe to experiment, learn from mistakes, and celebrate achievements.
In addition to flute lessons, I teach music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This well-rounded methodology balances technical skill development with creative expression, preparing students to become confident, expressive, and versatile musicians.
