About Douglas
"Performing for 13 years with the BBC Symphony Orchestra defined my artistic life. I spent 13 years crafting a teaching practice focused on classical technique and choral repertoire. My work centres on genre styling for pop, classical, and musical theatre.
Students receive expert guidance on vocal range extension and vocal health. I also teach belting technique, breathing control, and warm up exercises. Managing stage fear and sight singing remain central pillars of my instruction. Do you want to refine your vocal identity?"

"Stage fright often disappears when singers stop focusing on perfection and start focusing on the physical mechanics of sound. You will find that precise breathing control creates the foundation for every vocal choice.
We cover belting technique and genre styling in detail during our time together. My sessions emphasise vocal health and care to ensure longevity for your instrument.
I often include warm up exercises that feel like play while building serious discipline. Sight singing becomes much clearer once we break down the rhythm and pitch logic.
I assign homework vocal drills after every session to solidify your progress. These drills ensure you practise correctly between our meetings. I personally enjoy seeing the moment a student finally understands their own resonance. These lessons reflect my dedication to the craft of singing."
