About Betty
Your first lesson will likely involve very little playing and a lot of listening. Most students assume they need to strike chords immediately but I insist on learning to tune the instrument by ear first. We will use my 13 years of experience to assess your current grip and posture to prevent strain.
Whether you are a child, an advanced learner, or a professional, we will document your progress with improvisation and soloing exercises. I balance lead guitar work with structured theory to ensure you grow technically.
My approach relies on your ability to hear the nuance in the string vibration. We will cover maintenance and care to keep your guitar in top condition. You will finish the hour feeling more connected to your fretboard. Hard work leads to clear results.

Madrid was where I first picked up a nylon string guitar to play my family songs at 12 years old.
