About Whitney
I believe what sets me apart as a tutor for college-level and high school-level students is my genuine dedication and passion for neuroscience (and other natural sciences), along with my research experience and an innovative approach to learning. My background in leadership—from being involved in the Student Council in high school, participating in Student Organization Executive committees in college, to contributing to the Graduate Student Association in graduate school—has helped me foster a collaborative and supportive academic environment. These experiences have allowed me to engage with students in a way that helps them navigate complex concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence.
I strive to bring perseverance, a multidisciplinary perspective, and an open approach to communication and mentorship, which I hope enriches my ability to connect with and support students. Additionally, these roles and my experience as a graduate researcher have helped me strengthen my organizational skills, adaptability, and teamwork, contributing to a positive and comprehensive educational experience for those I work with.
