About Isabel

My name is Isabel Lopez. I am a freshman student at Clemson University majoring in Architecture and minoring in Psychology. I graduated from Riverside High School in Greenville, South Carolina. Math has always been one of my strongest subjects, particularly Calculus 1 and 2. I took 10 AP classes and passed them all, including getting a 5 on the AP Calculus AB exam. Other AP classes I have taken include AP Computer Science Principles, AP World History, AP Human Geography, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, AP Calculus BC, AP Language and Composition, as well as AP Macroeconomics. I have always been very involved academically as well as with extracurriculars, including Math Honors Society, National Honors Society, Science National Honors Society, Music Honors Society, Key Club, French Honors Society, as well as track, cross country, and marching band. I have played flute now for almost nine years. Here in college, I do not have to take any prerequisites for my major because I finished them in high school. I am involved in the symphony here at Clemson, as well as other organizations and clubs, including Latinos United, and Running Club. I look forward to helping any students I can to perform to the best of their ability and excel in math subjects.

About the lesson

- I like to teach virtually in order to have flexibility with schedules
-I am very flexible with teaching methods, including helping the student find the method that works best for them
-I take a very "try it on your own first" method at first in order to find where the student seems to be stuck and where improvement is needed
- Student must show step by step on problems they solve
-The lessons are for anyone struggling with elementary school math to any Calculus 1 classes
