About Willow
My journey into architecture started with a fascination for how buildings influence the way people move, connect, and feel within a space. That curiosity led me to pursue a B.Arch in Urban Spatial Design, where I explored how conceptual thinking merges with technical understanding to create meaningful environments. Over the past 9 years, I have taught students from many backgrounds, helping them build confidence in sketching, design thinking, and spatial articulation. I am patient, approachable, and deeply committed to helping students find their creative voice. I enjoy breaking down complex architectural principles into simple, relatable explanations that feel accessible to learners at every level. Whether working on conceptual sketches, spatial narratives, materials, or portfolio structure, I guide students with care and attention to individual expression. My goal is always to help them feel supported while developing discipline and clarity in their design process. Beyond teaching, I continue to stay immersed in architecture through concept sketching, reading design theory, studying urban form, and exploring sustainable design practices. These ongoing interests bring fresh perspective into my lessons and allow me to share real-world relevance with students. Teaching architecture is meaningful to me because I witness students develop not only technical skills but also deeper creative awareness and confidence.

Architecture becomes truly inspiring for students when they begin understanding how ideas evolve from simple sketches into meaningful spaces. My lessons introduce learners to spatial reasoning, conceptual exploration, composition strategies, and early design development. I focus on helping them express creativity with structure—balancing imagination with form, function, and human experience. Each session is designed to feel calm, supportive, and open, giving students room to think deeply and articulate their ideas clearly. Different learners require different forms of guidance, so I adapt each lesson to the individual’s level. Beginners receive gentle introduction to proportion, simple sketching, visual order, and foundational design interpretation. Intermediate students practise layout thinking, spatial layering, circulation logic, material suggestion, and early model-building concepts. Advanced learners focus on conceptual refinement, portfolio development, architectural storytelling, and detailed presentation methods. Throughout the process, I emphasise steady skill-building and expressive confidence rather than perfection. Architecture lessons help students grow intellectually, creatively, and emotionally. They learn to observe environments with curiosity, visualise concepts more clearly, and communicate ideas thoughtfully. Many students discover new patience and appreciation for the world around them as they learn how spaces shape human behaviour and experience. My goal is to help learners develop strong creative identity while understanding the discipline that supports thoughtful architectural design.
