About Claire
I’m a 25 year old Architecture graduate from Strathclyde University, I'm also a freelance designer and young business owner.
I spent last year traveling across Europe where I got to spend time volunteering at artists communities and since getting home I've been working on plans for my own creative project - a social enterprise which is all about connecting young creatives in areas of isolation. At the moment this only takes up part of my time so I’m starting tutoring to keep me busy and help fund my life while my business finds its feet.
Ever since I was young I’ve loved all things creative – crafts, writing, design, cooking etc. So naturally I went on to study something creative at university where I flourished. But it’s important you know, in spite of my success, my time in education was full of ups and downs. Education is tough, the pressure put on me at university was astronomical, but I made it through and now I want to impart the wisdom I gained to help ease that pressure for someone else.

The lessons -
My lessons are very simple - Prior to the lesson you can send me something you are working on (this might be a piece of writing, drawings for a design, a publication, or even a CV!) and I'll give you one to one feedback to help you refine that piece of work and develop your skills. This can be likened to tutoring sessions designers receive at university.
As someone who has only recently made it through the Scottish education system, I can relate to the pressure students are put under and want to create a very relaxed tutoring environment which simply offers students that extra bit of support currently lacking in the education system.
My lessons will vary in length and format depending on each student and their work.

I’m a successful Architecture graduate, freelance designer, and business owner, so I have a lot of experience working on creative projects of all kinds and know exactly what students need to do in order to progress.
I also have experience tutoring English abroad so you can be sure I have the skills to communicate with my students effectively, with patience and encouragement.
