About Maya
My fascination with architecture began with the realization that thoughtful design shapes human experiences and environments. I pursued a B.Arch and an M.Arch in Sustainable Architecture, learning how to integrate aesthetics, functionality, and environmental responsibility. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students in understanding design logic, spatial thinking, and creative expression, helping them build confidence and technical skill.
I emphasize clarity, patience, and supportive guidance. Lessons incorporate sketching, modeling, conceptual discussions, and iterative design exercises, ensuring that students internalize principles and cultivate their own design voice. I encourage exploration, problem-solving, and critical evaluation to strengthen both creativity and analytical thinking.
Beyond the classroom, I stay engaged with urban planning research, sustainable design innovations, and contemporary architectural projects. Bringing these insights into lessons allows students to connect theory to real-world applications. Witnessing learners grow in creativity, technical ability, and confidence is immensely rewarding.
