Hi I'm Ross. As an architect/designer with over 13 years of professional experience and lived academic experience at four leading architecture and design schools, I am passionate about helping students succeed. I offer structured, supportive, and tailored guidance to build confidence, strengthen technical skills, and develop clear, compelling design ideas. Drawing on extensive real-world academic and practice expertise, I work closely with each student to help them reach their full potential in a professional yet approachable environment. Each lesson is individually tailored to the student's personal goals, building on their strengths and offering strategies to apply these most effectively. I also provide constructive feedback on areas that could be developed further, along with suggestions for broadening skills and knowledge. Sessions typically last between 1 and 2 hours, and I ask that you send your project brief in advance. Lessons are delivered in an informal but structured critique format, with a strong focus on enhancing design thinking, representation, technical knowledge and presentation skills. I bring academic experience from four different architecture and design schools, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, alongside over 13 years of professional practice - having worked at leading firms and running my own award-winning studio. This breadth of experience allows me to support students with insight, empathy, and clear, constructive guidance.
