About Hammed
Hello مرحبا ، My name is Hammed, I’m British born thus English is my native tongue. I graduated with a 2:1 degree in Business Administration from a UK university and I’ll be studying Translation and Interpreting (Arabic, French and English) for my MA, starting this October ان شاء الله. Although Arabic isn’t my native tongue, I possess a very high level in this language, I took Arabic course in university alongside my business degree and upon graduating I travelled to Egypt to Study and teach; I studied Arabic and I taught English (I have a TEFL certificate). I have a diploma in the Arabic language which I obtained in Egypt and I also have 2 years teaching experience which I gained in the International Language Institute (ILI), Cairo. I provide Arabic lessons in Standard Arabic and I can also provide English lessons, my lessons are tailored to learners from a wide range of levels, namely; Arabic - absolute beginners to final stage intermediates (B2) English - absolute beginners to advanced (C2) Unfortunately I can only courses on the weekend and after 6pm on weekdays as I’m working, (I work as a translator for refugee/ asylum seekers living supported housing). Hammed was my English teacher whilst he was in Egypt, His private English lessons helped me improve my language and gain enough confidence to deal with native speakers. As a hotel attendant in Cairo, I need a high level in English to deal with clients. Before meeting Hammed I used to shy away from dealing with our English speaking clients but now this is no longer an issue.
